SWEET CHARITY is a tender, poignant and consistently funny look at the adventures, or rather the misadventures, in the ways of love encountered by the gullible and guileless lady known as Charity Hope Valentine. Charity is a dance hostess who always gives her heart and her dreams to the wrong man.

Audition Rules

  • You must be 16 years of age or older to audition.
  • You may only perform songs and scenes from "Sweet Charity" as selected by the director.
  • Audition materials will be posted and made available to you prior to the auditions.
  • Singing and acting auditions will be held on Saturday, November 28.
  • Separate dance auditions will be held on Sunday, November 29.
  • Attendance will be required on both days!

Charity Hope Valentine The girl who wanted to be lovedSoprano
Charlie Charity's boyfriend in the opening of the show, and the name on her tattoo.
Nickie One of Charity's closest friends at the Fandango Ballroom. Mezzo
Helene One of Charity's closest friends at the Fandango Ballroom.
Herman The authoritarian owner of the Fandango Ballroom, and Charity's boss.
Vittorio Vidal A famous Italian movie star. Baritone
Ursula March Vittorio's girlfriend.
Daddy Brubeck The enigmatic leader of the Rhythm of Life Church. Baritone
Oscar Lindquist A nervous man whom Charity befriends in a stalled elevator. Baritone
