Orangeville Music Theatre (OMT) is a non-profit amateur theatre group that was founded in 1979, originally known as the St. Mark's Choral Society, who presented Gilbert and Sullivan productions to sold out audiences at O.D.S.S. The name was changed to Orangeville Music Theatre when Broadway musicals were produced. The group has attracted many respected and well-known directors and choreographers and has been the launching pad for many successful careers in show business. Some of OMT's past shows have been GUYS & DOLLS, OKLAHOMA!, ANYTHING GOES, CRAZY FOR YOU, THE PAJAMA GAME, KISS ME KATE, COPACABANA, ONCE UPON A MATTRESS and NUNSENSE! The shows, presented at the Orangeville Town Hall Opera House each spring, receive outstanding reviews for their high caliber productions. The OMT membership looks forward to producing many more quality, family shows for Orangeville and the surrounding area. |
